Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Paymomentum LLC ("we", "us", "Settlefi") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit settlefi.cc, apply for the platform, or use Settlefi services. It applies to applicants, customers, beneficial owners, directors, and other individuals connected to a business account.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the platform, satisfy our legal and compliance obligations, and reach you when you ask us to.

• Site usage: limited, privacy-preserving analytics (page views, referrer, approximate region) — no third-party trackers, no cross-site advertising pixels
• Application logs: IP address, user agent, timestamps for security and abuse detection
• Transaction metadata: amounts, currencies, channels, timestamps, counterparty references (where required for reconciliation, compliance, and your own reporting)

2.3 Information from third parties

During KYB we may receive information from sanctions lists, PEP databases, identity verification providers, and our regulated banking and acquiring Providers. We use this only for compliance review and to make decisions about onboarding and account standing.

3. How we use information

• Provide the service: process applications, run KYB, open accounts, route transactions, settle funds, and provide statements
• Comply with law: AML, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, tax reporting, and other regulatory obligations of our Providers
• Safety & integrity: detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents; investigate disputes and chargebacks
• Communicate: respond to your application, share platform updates, send service-related notices
• Improve the platform: understand how the product is used, on an aggregated, de-identified basis

We do not use your information to train third-party AI models, sell ad targeting, or build user profiles for marketing partners.

4. Who we share with

We share information only with the parties below, only as needed for the listed purpose:

• Regulated Providers (banking, acquiring, FX, formation) — to provide the underlying financial services. Each Provider is contractually bound to protect your data.
• Compliance vendors — identity verification, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring
• Legal & advisory — outside counsel, auditors, accountants, under confidentiality
• Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to respond to a valid legal request (we evaluate every request and push back where appropriate)
• Successor entities — if Paymomentum LLC is acquired, your information may transfer to the successor, subject to this policy

We never sell your personal information. We never share applications outside Paymomentum LLC and the Providers above.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use a small set of first-party cookies for essential functions (session, CSRF, language preference). We use privacy-preserving analytics that do not set tracking cookies and do not enable cross-site profiling.

We do not embed third-party advertising pixels, social-tracking scripts, or session-replay tools on our marketing pages. If we add any analytics in the future that uses identifiable cookies, we will update this policy and provide a clear opt-in.

6. Retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it:

• Application data (not onboarded): up to 18 months, then deleted
• Account data (active customer): for the duration of the relationship plus the retention period required by AML, tax, and accounting laws applicable to our Providers (typically 5–7 years)
• Transaction records: retained as legally required, then archived or deleted
• Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression-list retention to honor your opt-out

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, least-privilege access, audit logging, and regular review of vendor security posture.

No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a personal-data breach that materially affects you, we will notify you and applicable regulators within the timelines required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access: ask what data we hold about you
• Correct: fix inaccurate information
• Delete: request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements (we cannot delete KYB records that we are legally required to keep)
• Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object: ask us to stop certain processing
• Withdraw consent: where processing relies on consent
• Lodge a complaint: with your local data protection authority

9. International transfers

Settlefi is operated from the United States. Your information may be processed in the US and in countries where our Providers operate, including jurisdictions in the EU, UK, and Asia-Pacific. Where required by law (for example, GDPR), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

10. Children

Settlefi is a B2B service for legal entities. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact contact@settlefi.cc and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is posted at /privacy with the Effective date above. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
